• We believe in the truth of God’s Word concerning sexuality. God created sexual intimacy to be shared only between a man and a woman who have committed to each other for a lifetime in marriage (Genesis 2:24).
  • We believe the promise of the Gospel is whole-life transformation. Jesus came to change our lives and renew our minds (John 10:10, Romans 12:2).
  • We believe same-sex attraction is not chosen, but is one of many kinds of temptation. Experiencing the attraction is not a sin, but we can sin in how we choose to respond to that temptation (1 Corinthians 10:13).
  • We believe Jesus came to set us free, and all believers are called to be obedient to His Word. True freedom is the ability to live our lives the way God has called us to live them. Too often we think of freedom as the absence of temptation, but even Jesus was tempted. If we measure our freedom based on whether or not we still struggle with a particular temptation, that means we expect to be more free than Jesus (Hebrews 4:15).

…just as Christ was raised from the dead through the glory of the Father, we too may live a new life.
